entry: Hi there andy, My names tim and and currently doing my M.A in 3D computer animation. I have this personal research project assignment to do and could do with your input.
I am researching the foundations facial animation and how it relates to modelling 3d cartoon characters faces. Ive been looking at your bunny girl character and wondered if i could ask you some questions about modelling processes when modelling your characters that are capiable of facial animation. I noticed you box modelled your bunny girl and modelled the base structure then added the detail of her face later on. Do you suggest to do this always? or do you prefer modelling the detail in straight from the head of the character and work down? Which do you think is best?
Do you think there is a set about of geometry needed when modelling any characters head for facial animation? does it differ for a cartoon head?
Do you think understanding the basics of the facial muscles responsible for human facial expressions, would help any artist to understand how to animate there character better?

Hope you can help me answer these questions as Iam trying to get enough opinions of different people to complete my research. Please email me your answers if you can.

entry: The pictures of your trip to japan is awesome, you brought back so many memories. I miss it so much, minus the 13hr plane ride for me from ATL. I'm very jealous you went to Ghibli Museum, I haven't had the chance to see it yet. Keep me on tabs for the next trip, lol.

entry: I wanted to let you know that I was on Facebook and noticed an advertisement by a dating company with a .gif advertisement that was trying to sell their dating services. It had a number of faces on it, but one struck me in particular. It looked exactly like one of your character illustrations, the "Office Girl". I wasn't sure if they'd gotten permission to use your character or anything but it really looked exactly like her. I just thought you should know. There website is:

I'll try to see if I can snag a screenshot of their ad the next time I see it.

entry: Hehe - thats kinda flattering that someone has re-drawn office girl!
Its obviously the same character design, but at least its not the actual render thats been stolen.
Thanks for keeping an eye out anyway. :-)
